All doves in popular culture and religion are just white pigeons
Pigeons have been domesticated for over 10,000 years
They are all descended from the feral Rock Dove
Rock Doves nest on cliffs and are omnivorous, so cities are well suited to their needs
Flying takes a lot of energy, so they will often walk very fast to avoid humans instead of taking flight
They can see in slow motion
They mate for life
Baby pigeons are called Squabs, and adolescent pigeons are called Squeakers as they cannot coo just yet
